Process

Below is the process and costs involved in creating and maintaining a website:

To get a website for your business, you'll first need an easy-to-remember Domain Name. That domain then points to a file location aka website hosting. Your website should contain professional content showing and describing what you provide and you'll need that reshapes itself to fit all screen sizes. To be on top of a Google search, you'll need your website's content updated frequently.

1. Domain Name

A domain name is the internet address people type in their browser to find your site. Saucer can work with your existing domain name or help you to purchase a new one. For added security and search engine optimization, we also recommend an SSL certificate, especially if you are taking credit card orders on your website.

Domain Name
$15/yr

The first thing you need is a domain name aka web address. We recommend renting your own with Google or Ionis. Note: Some website names are for sale at a premium price. There are alternatives to .com, but that is the suffix everyone remembers.

SSL Certificate (Optional, but not really)
$65/yr

This is highly recommended for site security, improved SEO, and so Google Chrome doesn't put a "Not Secure" next to your web address. This also places a padlock icon next to your domain name, so visitors trust your site.

2. Website Development

We start with a meeting to discuss your website needs. We'll then create a site map and project timeline for your approval. A color mockup of the website's home page and one interior page will be provided for your approval. Once all is a go we'll build your site in WordPress, the #1 CMS system, utilizing an easy drag-and-drop site editing feature.
