Below is the process and costs involved in creating and maintaining a website:
To get a website for your business, you'll first need an easy-to-remember Domain Name. That domain then points to a file location aka website hosting. Your website should contain professional content showing and describing what you provide and you'll need that reshapes itself to fit all screen sizes. To be on top of a Google search, you'll need your website's content updated frequently.
1. Domain Name
A domain name is the internet address people type in their browser to find your site. Saucer can work with your existing domain name or help you to purchase a new one. For added security and search engine optimization, we also recommend an SSL certificate, especially if you are taking credit card orders on your website.
This is highly recommended for site security, improved SEO, and so Google Chrome doesn't put a "Not Secure" next to your web address. This also places a padlock icon next to your domain name, so visitors trust your site.
2. Website Development
We start with a meeting to discuss your website needs. We'll then create a site map and project timeline for your approval. A color mockup of the website's home page and one interior page will be provided for your approval. Once all is a go we'll build your site in WordPress, the #1 CMS system, utilizing an easy drag-and-drop site editing feature.
We'll take your existing text and pictures and build you a great website that is mobile-friendly, secure and easily edited by non-technical staff. Website design ends up being roughly $100 a page. If you need content (text, pictures, video) that is extra. See below.
3. Website Hosting
Hosting is where all the files for your website are stored. You may wish to have Saucer update the site on your paid hosting platform or have us host your site. We work in WordPress, the #1 CMS system. We'll provide the packaged files to your website should you ever wish to have someone else host it.
Website hosting via Siteground cloud hosting, including monthly updates of WordPress and plugin files. Editing the website will be done by you. You get a 1-hour training session by Saucer on how to make edits. It's easy to learn!
All that is included in our Basic package, plus Saucer becomes your "Web guy" doing minor website page updates for up to 1 hour/month. Constant security monitoring and issue resolution. This does not include the creation of new website pages or content. For content development, see below.
Your website is going to need words, pictures, perhaps even video, not only when you set the site up, but content needs to be regularly added to increase search engine optimization. We create high-resolution professional content for your website much cheaper than separate photography or video companies would charge.
5. Search Enginge Marketing
A website that looks pretty but doesn't get you any sales isn't doing its job to convert traffic to customers. Saucer is an expert in Search Engine Optimization to get your site found on search engines and get people buying.
